Civil Air Patrol

Cadet Program Phases

March along the path to Spaatz!

Civil Air Patrol Cadets have opportunities to fly in aircraft, learn to lead, hike, camp, get in shape, and push themselves to new limits. If you are dreaming about a career in aviation, space exploration, or military service, the CAP’s varied programs are for you. Unlike other military-affiliated Cadet programs, only the Civil Air Patrol is active in real-world emergency response services such as disaster relief and aircraft Search & Rescue. Cadets must be at least 12 years old and not yet 19 years old. Our squadron meets weekly for 2-hours on Monday and two Saturday’s per month. Additionally, cadets are encouraged to attend leadership encampments, career academies, and other activities during the summer and winter months.
